I couldn’t wait to share this Downtown St. Louis elopement I photographed last month! Caitlin and Nate eloped at the Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse in downtown STL, and it was the perfect intimate union of these two kind souls. With just a few close family members, Caitlin and Nate exchanged vows at the courthouse, then we headed out for photos in front of the Gateway Arch, in Citygarden Sculpture Park, and through the streets of downtown STL. These two shared an iconic, but a laid-back day, before enjoying a “buddymoon” – a honeymoon with their four best friends in Vieques, Puerto Rico!
Like so many couples, Nate and Caitlin met online. Their love story started in 2015 and they have been together ever since. Last summer, Caitlin and Nate were drinking a little too much tequila at a bar in KC (it happens to the best of us). Unplanned, Nate asked Caitlin to marry him, and she said yes! They decided getting married was still a good idea once they sobered up, which led to this downtown St. Louis elopement.
