Jonathan and Patrick’s bold, fashion-forward, and heartfelt Revelry 675 wedding was the perfect balance of sentimental and fabulous. These two sweet grooms adorned Revelry 675 with art deco-inspired decor in traditional peacock colors – a bold green, deep blue, metallic gold, and pops of orange throughout.
Hosted at Revelry 675 in Batavia, IL, this wedding perfectly showcased why the venue is such a standout for couples who want something modern, customizable, and anything but traditional.
Located along the famous Fox River, less than one mile from Downtown Batavia, Revelry 675 is known for its clean, contemporary design and open-concept layout, unique to the Chicago area. No heavy textures, just a sleek canvas that allows couples to truly make the space their own. With bright white walls, marble floors, high ceilings, and expansive windows, the venue floods with natural light and photographs beautifully throughout the day.
From a photographer’s perspective, Revelry 675 weddings are ideal because:
For Jonathan and Patrick, this modern backdrop was the perfect foundation for a wedding that leaned unapologetically into color, fashion, and personality, while keeping their love for their family, friends, and each other at the center.
Jonathan + Patrick didn’t shy away from making a statement. Their wedding theme was peacock-inspired, with rich jewel tones and layered textures woven throughout the day. The weather gave us the perfect summer day, so J + P utilized the space inside and out. They held their ceremony outside, using the deck and stairs for the processional and recessional. The cocktail hour took place near the bar and outside on the welcoming patio. Then, guests moved inside for the reception.
Guests were encouraged to “outshine the grooms,” and they absolutely delivered. From bold suits and dramatic dresses to fearless use of pearls, color, and sparkle, the guest attire elevated the celebration.
The ceremony took place outside of Revelry 675, making full use of the venue’s open yard. With their guests surrounding them, Jonathan and Patrick exchanged vows in a setting that felt modern, warm, and deeply personal. Before their official first kiss as husbands, the two exchanged rings that were family heirlooms.
The great thing about Revelry 675 is that they could have easily pivoted to an indoor ceremony in case of rain. This is a major advantage of a Revelry 675 wedding, especially in Illinois. No weather stress, just a calm, controlled environment that allows couples to stay present and enjoy the moment.
One of the biggest benefits of hosting a Revelry 675 wedding is how portrait-friendly the venue is. Inside and out, the spots for gorgeous portraits don’t end. We took photos in front of the bar, in front of white curtain room dividers for a clean and classic look, on and around the deck, and throughout their green space. Their portraits leaned editorial and expressive, matching the energy of the day (and the grooms!). The peacock color palette popped beautifully against the venue’s neutral tones, proving how well Revelry 675 supports bold, creative wedding designs.
As the evening transitioned into the reception, Revelry 675 transformed into a high-energy celebration filled with movement, music, and nonstop connection. Their head table was made of mirrored glass, which felt luxurious without being overdone. The room was filled with candles from Jonathan’s hometown, which doubled as a beautiful thank you gift for their guests.
The open layout kept guests engaged all night long, whether they were on the dance floor or soaking in the atmosphere from their tables.
J + P actually met on a double date while dating other people, but both of those relationships ended for different reasons, and the two of them checked-in on each other a few weeks after. They met up, felt the energy, and told themselves if they were serious about this relationship, they had to wait a few months to avoid it just being a rebound. About 5 months later, they went on a weekend getaway together and have been together since!
In December 2023, Jonathan planned a surprise proposal for Patrick. They had plans to see the Nutcracker for the first time one Friday night. During the day, Jonathan left to have “lunch with colleagues,” but he never returned home that day. A few hours later, their neighbor brought over a letter he wrote inviting Patrick to a night together downtown. He Ubered to a hotel and headed to the terrace on the top floor, where they sat among candles and roses. Jonathan asked Patrick to marry him, and of course, he said yes!
